( 3.1 / 25 )I never get the time to write in the blog like I used to. Sorry about that, for the two people who read it. Any way Alex has been doing well. He's still on the ultra expensive formula, but is happy most of the time. He got a cold a few weeks ago and has had a runny nose ever since. Some times it makes him mad, but usually he suffers through it just fine.
We took him to Children's Hospital again yesterday for an upper GI xray. The results were perfect, which probably rules out refulx. That is awesome, because it means that we can (evetually) stop giving him the medicine that he hates so much. It also means that all the trouble we had with him early on was strictly dietary. And since it's almost time for introducing rice cereal into his diet maybe we're finally coming up to the end of his problems.
I'd like to wish a Happy Birthday (in advance) to my friends Jim, Kelly and Adi. I hope you all have a blast ... and I hope I get to be there when you do.

My cousin Ben is going to be playing in the Division III World Series of baseball with UW Whitewater. What's better than that? JS Online interviewed him about it and you should go read it! It's got his picture!Congratz, Ben!

( 3 / 23 )A couple new things to mention. Alex got a cold over the weekend and had to stay home from daycare for a couple days. No fever involved, just a runny nose and a fussy baby. The Baby Tylenol and Baby Vicks both helped a lot so now he's back in prime form. I stayed home with him all day Monday which scared me to death. It was the first time I'd been alone with Alex for an entire day. As it turned out we had a great time.
Our friends Jackie and Noah are taking a week long trip to New York over the holiday and we want to wish them both a great trip! I'm sure it will be fun.
Also, new pictures of Alex up in the gallery. Fun stuff in there. You get to see his new chair!
Lastly, some exciting news about some upcoming Marvel movies !

( 2.6 / 14 )I haven't had much opportunity to post lately. Work has been busy and we've kind of gotten into a schedule with Alex going to daycare. Things have been great though. The daycare seems to be good. Alex is happy and well fed. We even put up some new pictures of him in the 10-12 week section of the web site. Not much else to report. I think we might travel to the zoo this weekend, but that idea is still up in the air. I'll keep you updated.

( 2.8 / 12 )Yesterday was Alex's first day at daycare and also Carrie's first day back to work. I think both went well. Perhaps Alex's day was better than Carrie's.
It was hard dropping him off at daycare. He started crying before we left, but when I called to check on him later in the day the nice lady told us that he stopped crying and took a nap after we left him, and that he'd been happy the rst of the day. He stuck to his eating and napping schedule very well, and he even made some friends there. I don't think he knows that he made friends, but his slightly older friends do.
All in all I think it was a good day for everyone.

( 2.9 / 8 )One of my absolute favorite eating places burned to the ground last night. The Silver Spur was the source of a lot of tatsy meals and great times for me over the last ten years. It will be deeply missed.
