Since he was born we've had a lot of trouble finding the right diet for him. We've tried three different formulas so far, with mixed results. Some times he's a little angel. I'm amazed at how much time I can spend just looking at his face . Other times, he has trouble digesting his meals. Some people think it's lactose intolerance. Some people think it's acid reflux. Every one seems to have any idea about why he's in pain, but nothing has really seemed to help so far. Consequently we get a lot of time to look at his awesome face (because we never get to sleep).
It's been very hectic having a new born in the house. I'm finally getting this blog and gallery up, and he's been home for more than two weeks already. Every one tells you that you'll be tired and that you'l have very little free time. We heard this a million times, but we still really weren't prepared for it. Fortunately our family and friends have all steeped up to help us out. I'm not sure how we'd get by with out all of them. It takes a village they say... and they're right.
It seems like every day we get a package on our door step from a friend, relative, or coworker. Everyone has welcomed Alex home with clothes, food, toys... you name it we got it. This kid is definately loved and looked after. Thanks to all of you for helping us out. We didn't know if the sex of our baby before he was born, so we bought all gender neutral colored clothes (read: green and yellow). Thanks to our many gifts we now have plenty of boy outfits for him. Fortunately most of them are in 3-12 month sizes. This is very good, since he's basically outgrown the new born clothes already!
Time for me to go get his birth certificate. Health insurance wants it, and we need health insurance, so off I go. More later.
